New Nexus 10 Rumored to Cost £299 in UK

We've been hearing rumors about Google's new
Nexus 10 for a while now, and it looks like we
might be coming up on an announcement. The
latest rumors say the Nexus 10 is arriving at
the end of this week. They also predict that the
tablet will cost £299.

The report stems from photos posted to
Reddit. One of these photos came from a
poster claiming to work for Telefonica, and his
alleged carrier render featured the O2 logo,
Telefonica watermarks, and a caption stating it
would be priced at £299. A separate leaked photo, also posted to Reddit, said the device
would launch on November 22 and would be
made by LG. Though the authenticity of the
photo has not been verified, the rumored
pricing is pretty plausible. The current
generation Nexus 10 launched at £319 for the 16 GB or £389 for the 32GB model. It wouldn't
be all that surprising for Google to drop the
pricing by £20. Google hasn't yet commented on the rumors
and O2 has said the render is not, as it claims
to be, property of Telefonica. Still, we're a year
on from the launch of the original Nexus 10,
which went on sale November 13, so the idea
of a second generation Nexus 10 is not crazy. Last year's model was based on a 1.7 GHz
Samsung Exynos 5250 CPU, and packed 10-
inch 2560x1600 (300ppi) display as well as NFC,
WiFi, Bluetooth (4.0), 2GB of RAM, Android 4.2,
a 5-megapixel on the back and a 1.2-megapixel
camera on the front. Previous rumors about the Nexus 10 pointed to a 10.05-inch 2560x1600 300ppi display, a quad-
core Snapdragon 800 CPU, 3 GB of RAM, an 8-
megapixel camera on the back, a 2.1-megapixel
camera on the front, and a 9500 mAh battery.
Presumably, it will also come with Android 4.4
KitKat. Stay tuned and we'll keep you posted on any
developments.
