Ten persons on Friday sustained serious injuries following an accident which occurred at Akinale village along the Abeokuta – Lagos Expressway in Ewekoro Local Government Area of Ogun State. The auto crash, which occurred at about 12: 30pm involved a Mazda commercial bus with registration number (LAGOS) XY 122 AGL carrying 18 people, including an infant. Confirming the accident, the Itori Unit Commander of the Federal Road Safety Commission, Fatai Bakare, said that four males and six females were critically injured in the auto crash. Bakare said that the accident occurred due to reckless speeding on the part of the driver, resulting in his loss of control before the vehicle somersaulted and crashed into the bush. He dislosed that the victims have been taken to Ifo General Hospital for medical treatment.
