Chelsea Linked With £33m Argentine Playmaker Raid

Pastore Chelsea Bid

Stamford Bridge side target PSG attacker.
Chelsea are set to join a growing band of clubs taking an interest in PSG playmaker Javier Pastore according to the Daily Express.
The Argentine international is not having the best of times of it this term and now into his third season at the Parc des Princes the former Palermo man is being strongly linked with an exit from the Ligue 1 title holders.
Pastore has started just one of PSG’s last three Ligue 1 fixtures and has perhaps suffered as a result of the massive investment the French capital one club has made in new signings since he arrived at the club just over two years ago.
In his first season at PSG the flair player netted 13 goals and provided six assists in domestic league action alone, in his second campaign he managed four goals and nine assists and thus far this term Pastore hasn’t managed a goal or an assist and Laurent Blanc may therefore be considering offers for the 24 year old.
PSG spent £33m to sign Pastore and one wonders just how much they’d hope to recoup from any potential sale and that may well be crucial to the likelihood of any successful bid for his services.
Though Chelsea have an abundance of creative talent the fact that Jose Mourinho isn’t entirely convinced with Juan Mata’s place in his first team set-up could perhaps leave the door open to a potential bid for Pastore as the returning Blues boss looks to put his stamp on the squad he inherited from interim manager Rafa Benitez in the summer.
