Gareth Bale arrived in Spain on Saturday night
as his move from Tottenham to Real Madrid
moves ever closer, reports The Guardian. The Spanish club is preparing to unveil the
Welshman this Tuesday after their match
against Granada on Monday night. The formal unveiling is not set in stone
however, as Real Madrid are waiting on
Tottenham to choose between two separate
offers, according to the BBC. The first deal is for structured payments over three or four
years and worth £86 million while the second is
a £70 million upfront fee which may also
include a Real player. The Bale transfer saga has been ongoing
throughout the summer but seems to be finally
wrapping up with the 24 year old heading to
Real Madrid in a deal that will likely break the
world transfer record set by Real themselves
when they purchased Cristiano Ronaldo in 2009 for £80 million. Bale arrived at Tottenham from Southampton
for £10 million in 2007 and once Tottenham
confirm the deal with Real, the north London
side will have recouped the nearly £60 million
they have spent on Etienne Capoue, Paulinho,
Nacer Chadli, and Roberto Soldado.
