Allegri hails responsible Balotelli

The Rossoneri coach has praised the controversial
attacker and was pleased with his side's
qualification for the group stages AC Milan coach Massimiliano Allegri has hailed Mario Balotelli's positive influence following their Champions League play-off win over PSV. Balotelli scored Milan's second goal at San Siro on
Wednesday as Allegri's men triumphed 4-1 on
aggregate to qualify for the Champions League
group stages and Allegri lavished praise on the
Italian.
"Balotelli played a great game," Allegri told the club's official website.
"He has taken on a lot of responsibility. He's a real
professional.
"We drew the toughest team out of the draw and
the players have done really well and they deserve
the win." Allegri was delighted with his side's qualification
for the group stages at the expense of the Dutch
giants.
"It would have been a shame to let the
Champions League out of our grasp after all that
we did in getting third place last term," he added. "The players did well and they get the credit.
We're a young team and sometimes we pat
ourselves on the back too much for what we've
done but that shouldn't happen again." Milan will find out whom they will face in the
group stages when the draw is made later on
Thursday.
