Abuja Auto Crash Claims Lives Of Pregnant Woman, 2 Others

A deadly vehicles’ accident at Mpape Junction
along Kubwa Express Way in Abuja has
claimed lives of two women (one of them is
said to have been pregnant) and a man.

According to an anonymous eyewitness, the
accident involved a tipper and a Peugeot
car. The tipper vehicle, carrying gravels, lost
control and passed through a narrow bye-pass
into the Peugeot car at the express road. The eyewitness narrated that the tipper just
lost control, suggesting break failure as a
cause. The acident instantly claimed the lives of the
tipper driver, a pregnant woman and another
young lady in the Peugeot Car, while the driver
of the car sustained serious injuries. The crash occurred at about 1.30pm; tipper’s
plate number is JAL 315XA, and the Peugeot’s
BWR 733AR. A passer-by rushed to the scene to rescue
victims who were taken to Maitama Hospital
by men of the Maitama Police Division. A survivor of the accident was still in shock
and could not mutter a word to comment on
the horrible accident. It took the combined efforts of men of the
Maitama Police division and the officers of the
FCT Federal Road Safety Corps command to
control the traffic the incident caused. They,
however, declined to comment on the
incident.
