Robbers kill 2, injure 2 others in Enugu

Dare-devil robbers, Monday shot two
persons dead while two others sustained injury. An eyewitness in Enugu said the dead were an
MTN driver who was distributing recharge cards
to his customers and a tricycle rider. The robbers, according to the eyewitness who
would not want his name mentioned,
intercepted the MTN driver close to Mbanugo
Bus Stop, after which they opened fire on him
at close range and an undisclosed amount of
money and unsold MTN recharge cards stolen from him The Keke driver was, however, hit in the head
by the robber’s bullet when he abandoned his
tricycle and took to his heels. Although the name of the MTN driver has not
known immediately, the Keke driver was simply
identified as Praise. The other two victims, who were shot in the
leg, were rushed to hospital. The robbers numbering four were said to have
operated in a yellow taxi.
