Glo Promo Produces New Millionaires

Dr. Mike Adenuga, Chairman Globacom

Oba Market in the heart of Benin City, on Thursday momentarily came to a standstill as Globacom gave out cheques to a new set of winners of its 10th year anniversary promo, the Glo Recharge 2 Stardom Promotion. The cynosure of all eyes at the presentation was Mr. Sunny Unuigbe, who won N5million.
Unuigbe, who almost lost his voice to the excitement, said that he had no doubt about the authenticity of the promo when he was contacted that he had won N5million. "I know Globacom to always deliver. I won a radio set before in 2010 and when this promo started, I said to myself that I must win and even last week when I recharged my phone with just one N1,000, I said I needed to do more and here I am today with my cheque of N5million. I advise other people to use the Glo network because it does not fail on its promises", he said. A housewife from Delta State, Mrs. Lulu Arueyingho, who won N1million, said that by giving her the cheque, "Globacom has demonstrated that it is a reliable network. Other people who are not using the Glo network don't know what they are missing and I advise them to go and port to Glo". Ogunyomi Oluwatobi, a student who also won N1million said that with the prize money, he now had the assurance that his academic career could go on without any problem. "I wish to thank Globacom for this money. I have the assurance and confidence now that I can go on with my educational career without problems and also use part of the money to take care of some of my family members", he enthused. Winners in the N25,000 category who also collected their cheques at the ceremony included Okorie Fredrick and Olufemi Oni, while Aniete Equoy, Edidjala Frank, Afrio Orire, Omorefe Nosa and Ogbebor Kelvin got N10,000 each. Other winners could not make it to the prize presentation. Speaking at the ceremony, Globacom's Divisional Director for Benin Division, Mr. Richard Ogunsina, said that the Glo Recharge 2 Stardom Promo "is a way of showing appreciation to our loyal customers who have been with us all these years and to also "thank all Nigerians as we mark our 10th year anniversary". He said the most exciting thing about the promo was that subscribers did not need to do anything beyond recharging their phones with N200 and above to stand a chance of winning any of the exciting prizes. "Anyone who recharges with N200 stands a chance to win N10,000 or N25,000 while any Glo subscriber who recharges up to N1,000 can win N1 million or N5 million.
The Glo Divisional Director added that subscribers who recharge up to N5,000 during the promo period could win the star prize of N25 million.

Such benefits according to him, included special call rates on campuses, free data, free ring back tunes, zero Facebook and unlimited free SMS. He said the product was developed based on extensive research which zeroed down on the “passion points” of the youth of Nigeria. Their basic needs and their desired benefits were taken into consideration before coming up with the product which has everything for everyone. Tiwary explained that customers on Bounce could call other Bounce customers at a discounted rate of 5k/sec and send SMS at the low rate of N3 per SMS. Bounce customers also stand to enjoy the Campus Zone rate of 5k/sec to any Glo line and a flat rate of 10k/sec to all other networks. Other benefits include free data of 30MB on every recharge of N200 and above, one free SMS for every SMS sent by the subscriber, free browsing on Facebook, free ring back tunes for one month and free night calls from 12 am to 5 am for every subscriber who uses a minimum of N30 before midnight. “Glo Bounce is a special package with unrivalled benefits that takes into consideration the lifestyle needs of the youths and ensures that they get the best from the Glo network.
