President Goodluck Jonathan has assured that power generation and supply across the country would be stable by the end of November 2014.
According to him, the current administration was doing all that is required to ensure that regular black out witnessed by Nigerians becomes a thing of the past.
He spoke on Sunday at the 25th jubilee anniversary of the Word of Life Bible Church, Warri, the Delta State capital.
The Church was founded by incumbent President of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor.
Jonathan, the special guest of honour at the event, observed that Nigeria’s technological development and the manufacturing sector depended on stable power supply.
To this end, he expressed government’s determination to meet the November 2014 target.
Speaking further, president Jonathan ruled out any form of monetary compensation for victims of Boko Haram, saying “such would put huge burden on the government.”
He, however, noted that the federal government would provide assistance for the victims, to help them live well again and also recuperate from the horrors and damages of the attacks.
