United and Arsenal battle for Dutch starlet

jeroen lumu
Manchester United and Arsenal are going head-to-head to sign youngster Jeroen Lumu, according to The Mirror.
Bright future
The Dutch forward has recently broken into the Willem II first team and is predicted to have a bright future having represented Netherlands at under-17 level, scoring once in three appearances.
The 18-year-old is versatile and can play on either wing or as a striker and his promising performances in the Eredivisie have alerted the two Premier League big guns according to the newspaper.
The winger scored two goals in 15 appearances for Willem II last season having broken into the first team after graduating from the club’s youth academy.
Interest
It isn’t just United and Arsenal that have watched Lumu, as the newspaper reports Aston Villa and Fulham had also been eyeing the player back in January but they didn’t follow up their interest.
The youngster is expected to receive increased attention this coming campaign as he looks to play a regular part in Willem II’s season, with the Eredivisie starting two weeks ago.
Both Arsenal and Manchester United have only made one signing apiece this summer as both managers remain frustrated in the transfer window
