Okorocha’s Younger Sister, 20 Others Get Appointment In New Cabinet



Following the dissolution of his cabinet
about two months ago, when he sacked his
expanded executive council, including
commissioners, Imo State Governor, Chief
Rochas Okorocha, has appointed 21 new
aides into his cabinet. A statement issued in Owerri yesterday and
signed by the Secretary to the State
Government (SSG), Prof. Anthony Anwukah,
said the immediate past Commissioner for
Information, Strategy, Culture and Tourism,
Mr. Chinedu Offor, was named the Deputy Chief of Staff, Government House, while
the governor’s younger sister, Mrs. Ogechi
Ololo, whose husband is currently serving
as the sole administrator of Owerri North
Local Government Area was re-appointed to
her portfolio as Special Assistant, Domestic Affairs. The statement went on to list others,
including the Special Assistant, Media
Production, Mr. Raplh Afoaku, and 18 other
officials, including a Technical Assistant,
Rev. Fr. Wence Madu, Senior Special
Assistants, Senior Assistants and Executive Assistants. Okorocha is yet to appoint commissioners.
