The management of Heartland FC has
placed an indefinite suspension on its
entire technical crew members following
their recent poor performance in the
ongoing 2012/13 Glo Premier League (NPL)
season.

Heartland FC. The Owerri side lost 0-1 against Kwara
United in the Glo NPL Matchday 24
encounter at the Dan Anyiam Stadium on
Sunday, which was their third home defeat
this season after previously losing to
newcomers, Nembe City and Enyimba. The club chairman, Fan Ndubuoke
announced the decision shortly after
Sunday’s home defeat to Kwara United. In addition to the indefinite suspension of
the technical crew, the salary of members
of the entire team was slashed by half until
there is notable improvement in results. Ndubuoke hinted that one of the
suspended technical crew members may be
recalled or a new tactician may be employed
to handle the side for the Glo Premier
League Matchday 25 tie at Gombe United on
Thursday. Heartland recently bowed out of the
Federation Cup, losing on penalties to Akwa
United in the quarter-final at the Ahamdu
Bello Stadium in Kaduna.
