Eagles Win Bonus set to be fixed at $5,000.

Following the Super Eagles’ match bonus
row that had them arrive at the 2013 Fifa
Confederations Cup behind schedule, a
committee to probe into the ugly incident
has recommended the win bonus for the
team be pegged at $5,000 per man. Mikel Obi and Co at the Confederations Cup

that a formal code of conduct be signed by
all players in the national team, is expected
to present its findings to the Sports
Minister Bolaji Abdulahi next week, as
revealed by MTNFootball.com. The code of conduct to be introduced to the
Eagles will explicate the norms and required
attitude expected of both players and the
NFF. “The players are expected to sign the code
of conduct or else quit the team,” an
official informed MTNFootball.com. Reports gathered indicate that the NFF had
introduced a code of conduct before,
precisely in 1994, when only a few members
of the then Mutiu Adepoju-headed squad
agreed to sign the document. The practice is presently in existence in
countries like Germany and England, where
players agree to abide by a rule book,
inasmuch as several national team coaches
have kicked against it.
