"Boko Haram" Film Producer Free To Go

"Boko Haram" Film Producer Free To Go
Accra, Ghana -- The producer of the ill-fated new movie, "Boko Haram," John Dada Adedayo, has been granted  release by the Judge of the Accra Circuit Court.
It would be recalled that Mr. Adedayo was captured and charged before the Court in Accra, Ghana, after he released his production without getting Ghana Cinematography Exhibition Board's (GCEB) approval.
The film, with the award-winning Ghanaian actor Majid Michel in the lead role, tells the story of Nigeria which is being tortured by the Islamist Boko Haram sect.
Following a request by the complainant, the Judge Audrey Kocuvie-Tay made a decision to release the accused person yesterday.
The Ghana Cinematography and Exhibition Board (GCEB), the complainant through one of the members, Mr. Alfred Kumi Atiemo, had sent a letter to the Judge requesting for the case to be withdrawn.
Mr. Adedayo, however, almost lost his newly-regained freedom: as soon as he heard the favourable verdict, the "Boko Haram" film producer immediately stepped down from the dock. The annoyed Judge ordered him to return: "Come back! I am withdrawing my order. Take him back. You can't say 'Thank you!'"
Mr. Adedayo then made his objection, stating that he said the phrase: "I said 'Thank you'. I can't just leave without saying 'Thank you'".
Then he curtsied, thanked the Court once again, and stepped down from the dock to make way for the accused person in the next case.
