Ahead of the 2015 general election, the campaign posters of President Goodluck Jonathan were Tuesday sighted at strategic spots in Ilorin Central Eid-el praying ground.
According to THISDAY checks, Muslim faithful who trooped out to the praying ground for Sallah prayers had a glimpse of the posters which flooded the area.
THISDAY further learnt that the posters were allegedly sponsored by a group known as ‘Foundation for Empowerment and Uniting Nigerian Youths’.
Although, those pasting the posters were yet to be known but sources said it was the handiwork of those who believe in the transformational agenda of President Jonathan, and wanted the programme to continue after 2015 in the country.
The posters were also seen on the walls leading to the New Yidi road in Ilorin.
The message on the poster captioned ‘Let the Good Work Continue’, reads: “In Culture, in architecture and for the future, you are the best. Support Dr Goodluck Ebele Jonathan for continuity."
Other messages on the posters include ‘He has done it’. ‘He is doing it...He has also promised to do more despite challenges.”
